Concept project
NTV has been a part of Newfoundland for almost as long as Newfoundland has been a part of Canada. The province’s first and only privately-owned television network boasts an eclectic broadcasting schedule, where American primetime shows share a home with local interest programs.

The network has never really had a logo to match its ambitions. Since its founding, the station’s globe-and-stars icon has been updated on a handful of occasions, each time adding new layers of visual complexity that have left it bloated and inflexible in the present media landscape.

As an exercise, I’ve set out to create a simplified vision of the company’s identity, with modernized elements that look to revitalize decades of brand equity.
